INFORMATION WE PROCESS

  • Store information from Shopify. When you install the App, Shopify gives us your store’s domain (for example your-store.myshopify.com) and an access token so the App can work in your store. We store these in our database to keep the App signed in.

  • Your label content. Labels you create (name, logo image, alt text, optional link, product tags, order) and your display settings are stored in your own Shopify store as app data and files. We do not keep a separate copy on our servers.

  • Product information. The App reads product tags and counts products with a tag, to know which products show which label. This data stays in Shopify and is not stored by us.

  • Theme information. The App reads your published theme’s settings to show whether the app embed is turned on. We do not change your theme.

  • Subscription information. Plans and payments are handled by Shopify. The App only reads which plan your store has, to apply the label limit. We never see or store payment details.

WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT

  • We do not collect, store or process personal data of your customers (buyers). The App has no access to customers, orders or addresses.

  • The App does not store personal data of you or your staff, such as names or email addresses. If you contact us for support, we use your message and email address only to help you.

  • The App does not use cookies or tracking in your storefront. To keep pages fast, the storefront script temporarily remembers product tags in the visitor’s browser (session storage, cleared after 10 minutes or when the tab is closed). These product tags are not personal data.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information above only to provide the App: to authenticate your store, show your labels on product images, apply your plan and give support. We do not sell or share information for advertising.

WHERE INFORMATION IS STORED

  • Label content and settings: in your Shopify store.

  • Store domain and access token: on our server at Fly.io, in the European Union (Amsterdam, the Netherlands).

RETENTION AND DELETION

When you uninstall the App, we delete your store’s access token and session data from our database. Shopify also sends us a data deletion request 48 hours after uninstall, which we process automatically. Shopify’s customer data requests and customer deletion requests are answered as well; because the App holds no customer data, there is nothing to export or delete.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you can object to processing. Contact us at hi@augeo-studio.nl. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

We may update this policy when the App changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
